Those were the humble beginnings of The Cambridge Motel. The Lodge was converted into a motel in 1955 and was known as The Tyrells Lodge.  The cottage was enlarged and extended faithful to its original style, with some of its features still in place.

The foremost legacy of the small quaint cottage, which we are most proud of, is its warmth, hospitability and friendly atmosphere.
